Hey friends,

As promised, I would get back into posting on my blog here at THE ORG even if a post is full of nonesense and pure horseshit. I just need to get back into the habit of blogging which dropped like a bad habit a couple of months ago.

First thing. MOTO restaurant. As of recently, I have been interested INFATUATED with interesting oddball stuff in the kitchen. Having some background in food kinda pushed me into a new thought of molecular gastronomy. Confusing the fuck out of the guest back then used to be a no-no. Now a days, you have to throw a surprise or some element of intrigue in what you serve. Now unless you are some bar that just makes a few fried foods and that’s it, that will not cut it, because your guests are just folks who are hungry and drinking which need some good greasy grub to polish off some PBR or Yuengling Lager.

Unexpected and extraordinary are quickly becoming the norm for me, as I look into turning new leaves into distinctive, game changing foods and ideas at making food.

Homaro Cantu and Ferran Adria are two chefs that I happen to take interest through their scientific way of cooking. It is just no longer cooking on a line with your wolf oven, fryolater, bain marie, steam table and salamander which are going to be your tools of the trade. Include syringes, Alginates, liquid nitrogen and other chemical and food sciences on top of what you already perceive as the kitchen norm and a crew of out-of-the-box thinkers, the results can be never short of astounding.

That is what made me think if what the 30th birthday celebration. For being alive for 30 years, I want to celebrate something with an out of the ordinary spectacular experience. For me, a not so normal out of the box type of person, you could only expect nothing short of similar.

Now, acidesque trip sequences and modular moog wackiness set aside, I am looking to make a culinary pilgrimage to MOTO restaurant on the 30th of January 2010. A table for two, going for the 20 course with full wine flight. Sure, for some, it is a car payment, for others, a fantasy of epic scientific porportions.

Ok, enough of the Timothy Leary style musings of food, now let’s get onto a really important matter. Sandwiches in Conshohocken!

It has been only 3 weeks since I made my move up here from bland jersey (Read: farmland with fresh produce and dull nightlife) and I have tried a few places already but I want to know what is the BEST italian hoagie and cheesesteak in Conshohocken?

So far, the best that I have tasted, was Bobby Burgers Tavern on Hector and Jones street. The best element is that the Conshohocken Bakery is next door, so the bread is uber fresh. The bar staff is great and a few nights out of the week, there are live bands that play covers.

Anyways, back on topic. ANYBODY know where I can find a great cheesesteak or hoagie in town? Let me know!!!
