This is going to be a quick but well informing post on another aspect of my diet plans.

For one, My brother and I are starting to condense my cooking activities drastically through cooking most of our meals in a period of a few hours or less.

What are we doing exactly? We are cooking food, several protein meats, 5-7 sides and 4 vegetable sides in larger quantities and then cutting down proteins starches and vegetables to small portions.

When we are done with dividing portions and cleaning up the cooking pans, We take the cheap tupperware sandwich containers and set up meals containing a protein, a starch and vegetable in each container. Five minutes in the microwave and lunch/dinner is ready.

This method of cooking for longer periods of time is called FREEZER COOKING. Freezer cooking is huge with soccer moms and those who just do not have any time to cook. Those who have children, 9-5′s and a crazy schedule would love to be able to freezer cook at least a week and sometimes up to a month.

Right now, my brother and I are cooking a week in advance, but eventually will work up to two weeks in advance and eventually a month in advance. Very efficient and although it takes a few good hours on a rather unused block of time in the weekend, It keeps the kitchen cleaner and more time for me to get stuff done and relax!

Now why did I mention “Goodbye Frying Pan?” Well, because I will no longer use a frying pan to prepare any foods. The frying pan is used for very fattening foods and with cooking larger bulk levels of food, I would rather use a saucepan or cooking pans for the oven to cook instead.
