hey there folks.
It has been a while since I had made a discussion on my blog about my health issues.
Since then, I am very aware of what is going on and through education and some lifestyle changes
I am very glad to say that everything is just about under control as I make some transitions in the
road ahead.
1. Arm pains, headaches, sinus issues……
I had realized with some research and the aid of a couple of doctors that we had a bouquet of issues related to a wisdom tooth that had become impacted and started some type of infection. This infection was very similar to an abscess, which had spurred with my eating habits, a bad case of acid reflux and some pains on my left arm. The arm pain is not heart related, do not think there is heart disease or a
heart condition in this. There isn’t.
The dental surgeon, Dr Helen Giannakopolous at Penn Presbyterian had the tooth removed and was given Clindamycin and Ibuprofen to resolve pain and infection. The tooth did not come out easily on the first pull so there was a great deal of extraction drilling involved with the process which was done under LOCAL anesthetics. Interesting process I tell you! I was cheering the surgeons on to do the right thing instead of being scared. I knew the tooth had to go one way or another.
2. Post Care…..
Infection left, but it takes time for the hole in your mouth to seal up and fully recover. Of course you have to constantly salt rinse, take your meds and not drink fluids out of a straw so you do not have a painful dry socket experience. Luckily I didn’t have a dry socket issue and now drinking out of a straw. Some of the pain I experienced in the facial area could be from either sinusitis, the tooth nerve being affect, causing a sort of Parathesia or even the Acid Reflux caused from dieting or as a side effect from the Clindamycin.
Well, so far so good, as of a couple of days ago, I purchase a jalaneti pot (ayurvedic nasal rinses by dripping water from one nostril to drip out with the other) and used it to rinse my nose just in case it was sinusitis. my airway felt a bit better after starting the jalaneti twice a day.
I have also started a plan to change the eating habits, incorporating salads for lunch and dinner, having two hard boiled eggs and a yogurt in the AM and soon will replace sodas with 3-4 protein shakes a day. same calories, maybe more, but way healthier stuff to go into my body.
Also I have a walking/bike trail near my house where I can cycle from Conshohocken to Manayunk every day and get 12 miles of daily exercise. An absolute must do. I want to get myself to have maximally acceptable standards on weight and jeans size. By christmas or earlier, I want to wear a size 40 jeans and weigh 250-270. I am currently at 333.
LET’S ROLL.
